# Hyperfile — Team File Storage, Sync & API

> Store, sync and collaborate on files of any size. One filesystem, three ways in: browser app, scriptable CLI, typed REST API. Free plan, no card.

Hyperfile is a file management platform for teams who need powerful storage, seamless sync, and collaboration. The same filesystems are reachable three ways — a browser app, a scriptable command-line tool, and a typed REST API — so the way you work never dictates where your files live.

## Who it is for

Teams that outgrow consumer file sync but do not want to run storage infrastructure themselves: engineering teams moving large build artifacts and datasets, studios and agencies sharing media, and individuals who want version history and search over their own archive. Files of any type and size are supported, and storage is regional so data residency is a choice you make per filesystem.

## Three surfaces, one filesystem

- **Web app** — Browse, preview, and manage your files from any browser. Rich previews for documents, images, code, audio, and video.
- **CLI** — Sync files between your local machine and Hyperfile with a fast, scriptable command-line tool, built for automation and CI. See the [CLI docs](/docs/cli.md).
- **REST API** — Build integrations with a typed API. Upload, download, search, and manage filesystems programmatically. See the [API docs](/docs/api.md).

## Capabilities

- **Filesystems** — Organize work into separate filesystems, each with its own root, region, permissions, and settings.
- **Team collaboration** — Invite your team, assign roles, and set granular permissions on shared filesystems.
- **Version history** — Every file change is tracked. Restore a previous version with a click, or compare changes over time.
- **Search everything** — Semantic and full-text search across all your files, fast even in large filesystems.
- **Fast and global** — Files are stored regionally with smart caching at the edge, so downloads are quick wherever your team is.
- **Audit logs** — Every file operation is recorded for compliance and security review.
- **Content-addressed storage** — Each file version is identified by its content hash (CRC-64/NVME), so duplicates are stored once and unchanged files are skipped on upload.

## Getting started

Create a free account at [hyperfile.io/login](/login?view=register) — the Free plan includes up to 3 filesystems and 5 GB of storage with no card required. The [Quickstart](/docs/quickstart.md) walks through creating a filesystem, uploading files, installing the CLI, and making a first API request in about five minutes.
