# Quickstart

> Sign up, create a filesystem, upload files, install the CLI and make your first API call. The whole path takes about five minutes.

Get up and running with Hyperfile in under five minutes.

## 1. Create an account

Sign up at [hyperfile.io/login](/login?view=register). You can use email/password or sign in with Google.

## 2. Create a filesystem

After signing in, you'll land on the home page. Click **New filesystem** to create your first one. Give it a name and choose a region.

## 3. Upload files

Drag and drop files into the browser, or click the upload button. Hyperfile supports files of any type and size.

## 4. Install the CLI (optional)

If you prefer working from the terminal:

```bash
npm install -g hyperfile
hyperfile login
```

Then sync a local directory:

```bash
hyperfile sync ./my-files --fs <filesystem-uid>
```

## 5. Explore the API (optional)

Generate an API key from **Settings → API Keys** and make your first request:

```bash
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer <api-key>" \
  https://api.hyperfile.io/fs/<filesystem-uid>/tree
```
