# CLI Installation

> One command installs the CLI globally with npm or pnpm on Node.js 20 or later. Check the version you have and update it in place when it moves.

The Hyperfile CLI is distributed as an npm package.

## Requirements

- Node.js 20 or later
- npm, pnpm, or yarn

## Install

```bash
npm install -g hyperfile
```

Or with pnpm:

```bash
pnpm add -g hyperfile
```

## Verify

```bash
hyperfile --version
```

## Update

```bash
npm update -g hyperfile
```
